DMV test-day support. A lesson, then the test in our car.

Test-day support is one private 90-minute lesson right before your DMV behind-the-wheel test, and you take the test in our dual-control car. It is request-only: book your DMV appointment first, then ask for it, and the office confirms your readiness, the timing and an instructor before anything is booked.

Before you request it

Three things are confirmed first: that the student is ready for the test, that the lesson fits around the DMV appointment time, and that an instructor is free that day. Teens need their six hours of professional training finished before the test; if they still need lessons, start with the teen program.

  • Book the behind-the-wheel appointment on dmv.ca.gov
  • Request test-day support with the date, the time and the DMV office
  • Wait for the office to confirm before you plan the day around it

On the day

Your instructor picks you up or meets you at our office, and the lesson is a final practice drive that ends at the DMV office in time for your test. You take the test in the same car, so its controls are already familiar; it carries current registration and proof of insurance. You bring your permit and the documents the DMV asks for; the DMV runs the test itself: the appointment, the vehicle check, the route and the result.

One lesson at one price, shown here; paying cash, check or Zelle costs less than card.

Taking the test at the Folsom DMV

The Folsom DMV field office is on East Bidwell Street. Behind-the-wheel tests are by appointment, and the DMV decides which offices give them and when, so check the office page on dmv.ca.gov before you book. Tell us which office you booked so the lesson is planned around it.

Nobody can teach an "exact test route": the examiner picks the route on the day. The lesson practices what examiners look for: smooth control, full stops, scanning, lane changes and speed in school and residential zones.

  • Bring your instruction permit and your appointment details
  • Under 18: the DMV certificate showing your six hours of professional training are complete
  • Arrive early: the examiner checks the car and that you know its controls before you drive

Common questions

What is test-day support?

One private 90-minute lesson right before your DMV drive test, requested through the office, and then the test in our car. The car comes with the lesson, not on its own.

Why is it request-only?

Your readiness, the DMV appointment time and an instructor’s day all have to line up. The office confirms all three before the lesson is booked.

When should I book the DMV appointment?

First. Then request test-day support with the date, time and office. A no-show or a cancellation under 24 hours uses the lesson.

What if my DMV appointment moves?

Tell us as soon as you know. Moving the lesson at least 48 hours ahead is free; inside that window the normal change rules apply.

Do you guarantee a pass?

No. No driving school can, and finishing lessons does not guarantee readiness or a passing result. The lesson prepares you for what the examiner looks at.
