Learning to drive in Granite Bay.

Granite Bay is in Placer County, beside Folsom Lake. Its two main roads are Douglas Boulevard, running west toward Roseville, and Auburn-Folsom Road, running south to Folsom. Between them are quieter residential streets where a first lesson can settle into steering, braking and scanning before the instructor adds the main roads.

The drive test

Granite Bay has no DMV field office of its own. The Roseville and Rocklin offices are in Placer County, and the Folsom office is in our home town; all three are listed below. Drive tests are by appointment on dmv.ca.gov, so check the office page before you book, and tell us the office and the time when you request test-day support. How test-day support works →
